AAUW in Eau Claire
The Eau Claire branch of AAUW, established in 1958, is open to all graduates who hold an associate or higher degree from a regionally accredited school of higher education. Our members have a wide variety of professions and interests, but we are united in our goal of equity for women and girls.
We advocate and educate through several programs in our community:
* Annual Book Sale – raising funds for our scholarships, community projects, and our contributions to the national educational fund
* Special Interest Groups – including our Book Group and Voter Education Group
* UW-Eau Claire Foundation scholarships – awarding annual scholarships for women 23 years of age and older who are undergraduate or graduate students
* Legal Advocacy Auction – raising funds for the Legal Advocacy Fund which supports women taking legal action due to sex discrimination
* Involvement in district, state, and national training and activities
